But the hard truth is that it's not. And it won't be until we make some changes and view higher education as an investment in everyone's future.

Over the next few weeks, thousands of students will head off to college for freshman year. Given the dismal statistics on high school graduation rates, setting foot on campus is a special accomplishment for students whose parents didn't attend college.
