Wondering how you can help more students get to and through college? Great news! Anaflor Graham, First Graduate’s Founding Board Member, will match up to $100,000 raised for every new and increased donation received by midnight December 31st, 2019. So, your generous gift will go twice as far in providing:
- Free workshops for low-income students in 7th and 8th grade;
- Free standardized test preparation courses: test prep materials and test fees for the SAT and ACT;
- College and financial aid counseling through college visits, helping students apply for assistance (FAFSA, California DREAM Act, and CSS Profile), and helping research, successfully complete, and submit applications for additional scholarship options.
First Graduate…It is more than just a name. It is an accomplishment, a milestone, and a COMMUNITY. A community we are all a part of; from the students, to you the donors, to our staff. And it is why we are asking you to renew your commitment to our community by giving to First Graduate today (as you have done so generously before).
Because of you, San Francisco students finish high school and become first-generation college graduates well prepared to pursue careers that are meaningful to them. Your dedicated support has resulted in 99% of First Graduate high school seniors graduating; 88% of First Graduate students are California State University eligible, and 68% of First Graduate high school students have a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
And because of you 100 First Graduate students are now college alumni, with 448 right on their heels. And every one of them is proud to say, “I’m the first, but not the last.”
