First Graduate Middle School students have significantly more college and career knowledge and aspirations as compared to their peers. They make well-informed and empowered choices about their high schools and their families are taught the skills to be effectively involved in their child’s education.
Students create a 12 year roadmap: researching careers, colleges and high schools! They build skills in both short and longer term S.M.A.R.T. goal setting, which they carry with them for their entire educational careers.
Our students learn about the different high schools available to them and learn to make informed, empowered decisions regarding their education. We support them with test preparation, interview skills, and essay support so they can be competitive candidates at these high schools.
Our field trips and College and Career Days inspire students by showing them what the future holds in store for them. We partner with companies like Gap, Reed Smith, KQED, UCSF, California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco Chronicle, Razorfish, Jump Associates, PG&E, Google, LinkedIn, DigitasLBi, San Francisco Zoo, Ubisoft, Gordon & Rees, and Wells Fargo to grow students’ curiosity and motivation.
Family meetings, virtual communication, newsletters, and regular family workshops develop our families’ skills so they can be actively involved in their child’s education.
