Kim M. Rivera doesn’t just join companies—she transforms them. As Chief Legal and Business Affairs Officer at OneTrust, she delivers razor-sharp strategic counsel on critical enterprise operations and legal matters that drive organizational success. 
 
Her executive journey includes a groundbreaking tenure at HP Inc., where she served as President of Strategy and Business Management and Chief Legal Officer. At HP, Kim orchestrated corporate strategy, transformed customer support, managed indirect procurement, and integrated workplace functions. Simultaneously, she commanded the global legal organization, expertly handling legal affairs, governance, government relations, brand security, compliance, and ethics with precision and vision. 
 
A masterful business executive, Kim has skillfully navigated complex geopolitical and trade challenges, engineered major acquisitions, and architected innovative company and go-to-market strategies that delivered exceptional results. Her strategic insights have repeatedly translated into tangible business wins across multiple industries. 
 
Armed with degrees from Duke University and Harvard Law School, Kim brings over three decades of elite experience advising Fortune 500 companies on transformative corporate transactions, strategic pivots, governance, compliance, risk management, audit, and high-stakes litigation. Her expertise extends beyond the executive suite to the boardroom, where she serves on the Board of Thomson Reuters.  
 
Roots & Purpose 
Kim’s remarkable drive springs from deep roots. Born to a working-class family in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she spent her formative years between there and Asunción, Paraguay. Orphaned at an early age, Kim faced significant challenges that forged her resilience. Navigating these diverse cultures forged her exceptional adaptability and global perspective. 
 
At 17, Kim made the bold move to the United States alone, securing a scholarship to pursue her undergraduate studies at Duke. This journey instilled in her a profound commitment to educational access and opportunity. Today, she dedicates significant time and resources to organizations that help underserved and disadvantaged youth advance their education. 
 
As a prominent Latina executive, Kim works tirelessly to advance women and people of color in leadership. Her work has helped support hundreds of professionals from underrepresented backgrounds in advancing their careers.  
Her personal philosophy—”Transform obstacles into opportunities”—drives both her professional excellence and her unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive, equitable future for all.
