Helping Students Transition to College

One of the biggest leaps our students will take during their 10+ year journey with First Graduate® happens soon after they graduate from high school – the leap from high school senior to college freshman.

In order to help students be prepared for successful transition to college, we recently hosted an overnight retreat and a series of workshops designed to prepare students for a successful transition to college.

Throughout these events and workshops we focused on building community as a cohort, reflecting on the meaning of being a first generation college student, discussing the concept of love of learning, previewing academic rewards and challenges, and learning strategies for career success.

Welcome to the College + Career Team, FG9 – our newest class of college freshmen! We are so proud of you for graduating high school and look forward to supporting you through your journey to college graduation!

First Graduate’s Alumni: Beating the Odds

All of this support-driven success is only possible because of the contributions from our donors. That’s why we’re offering you the opportunity to support our generation-changing organization with donations to our end-of-fiscal year campaign. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of this month to sustain the positive impact we have on our First Graduate® students in a way that changes their lives forever.
