Interviewing Like a Champion @ Hall Capital Partners

Have you ever walked away from an interview wishing you’d said something different? Who hasn’t.

Or what about feeling proud of yourself after interviewing for a position that you want to work for? There’s nothing better.

Either way, the key to interviewing like a champion is practice, practice, practice. Practice early and practice often.

That’s the advice we recently gave our high school juniors as they started applying for summer internships, and thanks to the dedicated volunteers at Hall Capital Partners our students got the chance to practice their interviewing skills in a real life setting. During the event students sat down with career professionals for a mock interview where they talked about themselves, their interests, and strengths.

Afterwards students received individualized feedback from their interviewer on everything from posture and eye contact to presentation skills and wording. Student walked away from each interview with a clear sense of their strengths and areas for improvement, and better prepared to succeed in future job, volunteer, and internship interviews.

Volunteers from Hall Capital Partners commented on how impressed they were with skills, professionalism, and maturity of First Graduate® students – and we couldn’t agree more. We’re so proud of our them for showing up prepared, and demonstrating such open-mindedness when receiving feedback.

Thank you so much forHall Capital Partners for helping our students interview like a champion!

It has become clear lately that hate, racism, and sanctioned disinformation endanger the lives of people everywhere and we can not continue legitimizing
