Ramadan Mubarak!

Ramadan Mubarak to all those celebrating, and especially to our students, families, and staff who are observing this month!

Ramadan, which is the holiest month of the year for Muslims, is a time for self-improvement, self-discipline, and spiritual reflection. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world refrain from eating or drinking daily from sunrise to sunset. However, the purpose of fasting is not limited to only food and drinks, it involves full spiritual detoxification emotionally and physically.

The month of Ramadan is intended for individuals to improve their overall well-being and faith. Through the process of removing distractions and increasing prayers, Ramadan forces you to reshift your daily priorities and build positive habits. The goal is that you will continue to implement what you have learned even after the month is over. For example, one major activity that is recommended during Ramadan is to give to charity.

Ramadan is also a month that unites communities through celebrations. At the end of the month, Muslims celebrate Eid which is a joyous holiday that marks the end of fasting. This is a time for families and friends to come together, exchange gifts, and celebrate their blessings.

Wishing all who are celebrating a blessed and joyous Ramadan.

Tuka Almamori.

FIRST GRAD’S SCHOLARSHIP TEAM

Despite how difficult they can be to get, it’s impossible to overstate the importance of scholarships. Especially for a first-generation student, a scholarship can be the difference between being able to go to college and not.
