We’re Recruiting Coach 3.0 Volunteers

What: First Graduate® is looking for volunteers to work 1:1 with college students to coach them through working towards a 3.0 GPA. Coach 3.0s will have weekly or bi-weekly conversations with students on the areas needed to excel academically. Check-ins will include conversations on helping students set up a work plan, identify resources, and holding them accountable. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a meaningful and truly personal relationship with a First Graduate® college student.

When: This is a one semester commitment September-December, with the option to extend. Estimated time commitment is 5-10hr/month. The schedule is set up by the student and coach so it is flexible.

Where: Since our students may or may not be local, the coaching will primarily take place take over the phone, through video chat, or email.

Who: We are looking for individuals who want to take part in a more committed volunteer opportunity, and are comfortable taking the initiative in building a relationship with a student. It is also helpful if coaches are comfortable navigating college resources.

Mandatory Dates: Training + Meet & Greet Thursday August 4th, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Apply by Friday, July 29th!

Ramadan Mubarak!

Despite how difficult they can be to get, it’s impossible to overstate the importance of scholarships. Especially for a first-generation student, a scholarship can be the difference between being able to go to college and not.
