We’re Looking for Superstar Volunteers

We are currently looking for volunteers to work 1:1 with college students to coach them through working towards a 3.0 GPA. As a “Coach 3.0” you check-in weekly or bi-weekly with students on the areas needed to excel academically. Check-ins will include conversations on helping students set up a work plan, identify resources, and holding them accountable. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a meaningful and truly personal relationship with a First Graduate® college student.

When: This is a one semester commitment September-December, with the option to extend. Estimated time commitment is 5-10hr/month. The schedule is set up by the student and coach so it is flexible.

Where: Since our students may or may not be local, the coaching will primarily take place take over the phone, through video chat, or email.

Who: We are looking for individuals who want to take part in a more committed volunteer opportunity, and are comfortable taking the initiative in building a relationship with a student. It is also helpful if coaches are comfortable navigating college resources.

Training for Coach 3.0 volunteers in mandatory, and will take place on 9/21 from 6-8pm. You must also be able to make attend the Mid-Semester Check-In (10/20 from 6-8pm), and the Wrap Up event (1/7 from 6-8pm).

How to Apply: Email me at aserra@firstgraduate.org, with a resume and a brief cover letter knowing me why you would make a fantastic Coach 3.0.

Hope to see you soon!
