8th Grade Update: Summer Opportunities Workshop!

HUGE shoutout to Karina, Marcel, and Sha’Kuana for organizing an awesome Summer Opportunities Workshop for our 8th grade students! Volunteers and college advisors helped students identify types of activities they’d be interested in and then worked with them to find specific camps that worked for the students and their families. THEN volunteers and advisors helped students apply to the Youth Opportunity Scholarship to receive up to $500 in funding for their chosen summer program.

Our students had a range of interests that included acting, cooking, robotics, soccer, and drawing. Let’s see what summer has in store for them!

Thank you again to the folks who made this happen!

Cap & Gown

To Everyone Who Attended Cap & Gown 2023: Thank You!

As we celebrate our newest graduates, remember that first-generation students can move from sixth grade through college graduation and into meaningful careers because of you and your support! And we couldn’t do it without the help of our corporate supporters: Hamilton Zanze, Dodge & Cox, Accenture, Adobe, KPMG, BSSP, Millennium Career Advantage, and GoodRx.

Ramadan Mubarak!

Despite how difficult they can be to get, it’s impossible to overstate the importance of scholarships. Especially for a first-generation student, a scholarship can be the difference between being able to go to college and not.
