High School Application Coaching @ Hotwire

Did you know that middle school students in San Francisco have to submit application for high school?

Scary as that process can be for students (and parents) it was made a lot easier this week thanks to a crew of volunteers from Hotwire.com who supplied pizza and sat down with students for some one-on-one coaching. Students came to the event with drafts of their applications and personal statements, and for over an hour volunteers chatted with the students and helped them craft a compelling personal statements.

Students walked away smiling ear-to-ear with polished applications and a goodie bag to boot.

Thank you AGAIN to all our amazing volunteers at Hotwire!

Cap & Gown

To Everyone Who Attended Cap & Gown 2023: Thank You!

As we celebrate our newest graduates, remember that first-generation students can move from sixth grade through college graduation and into meaningful careers because of you and your support! And we couldn’t do it without the help of our corporate supporters: Hamilton Zanze, Dodge & Cox, Accenture, Adobe, KPMG, BSSP, Millennium Career Advantage, and GoodRx.

Ramadan Mubarak!

Despite how difficult they can be to get, it’s impossible to overstate the importance of scholarships. Especially for a first-generation student, a scholarship can be the difference between being able to go to college and not.
